Fiona Onasanya

... was the Labour MP for Peterborough. She was sentenced to three months' imprisonment in January 2019 after being found guilty of perverting the course of justice – lying to police in an attempt to avoid speeding fines. She was removed from office after her release, becoming the first MP to lose his or her seat under the terms of the Recall of MPs Act 2015.

Ms. Onasanya strongly protested her innocence, but her application for permission to appeal against the conviction was refused by the Court of Appeal.
